Las Damas de Blanco, nos solidarizamos con la luchadora, Marta Beatriz Roque. Es un atropello , un acto inhumano de las hordas salvajes del Regimen existente.Es la unica mujer de los prisioneros de Conciencia y del grupo de los 75, por lo que nuestras voces en un momento de represion desmedida como este no seran silenciadas.Basta de actos de Repudio, Basta de intolerancia e incomprension,queremos paz, unidad y por encima de todo LIBERTAD.

DECLARACION DE LAS DAMAS DE BLANCO

Hemos conocido que Marta Beatriz Roque Cabello, única mujer de los 75 prisioneros de la Primavera Negra de 2003, fue insultada y severamente golpeada por cuidadanos que se aprovecharon de su cantidad y mayor fortaleza para abusar contra una persona indefensa. Opiniones divergentes no excusan a nadie para semejante actuación, que incluso demuestra el peligro para la integridad física, con consecuencias imprevisibles, que pueden tener los llamados Mítines o Actos de Repudios.

Marta Beatriz, como los demás de los 75, es considerada prisionera de conciencia por Amnistía Internacional, organización no gubermental de defensa de los derechos humanos, y actualmente se encuentra con Licencia Extrapenal por motivos de salud. Teniendo en cuenta que estamos unidas en los esfuerzos por alcanzar la libertad inmediata e incondicional, y el tratamiento justo y repetuoso a todos ellos, condenamos la agresión a la que Marta ha estado sometida y demandamos que cese el hostigamiento.

We, the Ladies in White, express our solidarity with the Marta Beatriz Roque Cabello. It is an attack, an inhumane act of the savage mobs of the current regime. She is the only woman of the Group of 75 prisoners of conscience, a group for whom our voices in a moment of unmeasured repression like this one will never be silenced. Enough of the acts of repudiation! Enough of intolerance and lack of understanding! We want peace, unity, and above all, FREEDOM!

DECLARATION OF THE LADIES IN WHITE

We have heard that Marta Beatriz Roque Cabello, the only woman of the 75 prisoners of the Black Spring of 2003, was insulted and severely beaten by citizens who took advantage of their number and greater strength to abuse a defenseless person. Divergent opinions never excuse anyone for such an act that demonstrates the danger for one's physical integrity, with unforseen consecuences, that these "Meetings" or "Acts of Repudiation" can cause.

Marta Beatriz, like the rest of the members of the 75, is considered a prisoner of conscience by Amnesty International, a non-governmental organization in defense of human rights. Currently she is out on parole because of health problems. Keeping in mind that we are united in the efforts to achieve immediate and unconditional freedom, fair and respectful treatment for all of the prisoners of conscience, we condemn the aggression to which Marta Beatriz has been submitted and we demand that the harassment cease.
