CUBAN STATE SECURITY ATTACKS THE COUNCIL OF HUMAN RIGHTS RAPPORTEURS IN CUBA

Cuban State Security’s attacks against the Council of Human Rights Rapporteurs in Cuba have increased since Friday, August 14, 2009, when two young women who worked as reporters for the Information Center of said Council were summoned and arrested.

During four hours, Doralis Alvarez Soto and Yudelmis Fonseca Rondon were subjected to cold temperatures, received threats of being jailed and with being driven out of Havana. State Security also made offensive proposals to them by asking that they become their informants and that, if leaving the country was their objective, then they could become the prostitutes of foreigners. Doralis was arrested once more on August 20 and received a similar treatment.

This month, Cuban military intelligence interrupted the telephone service of our Information Center during five days and two weeks prior to this they destroyed our email: juanitocrdhc@yahoo.es

Tania Maceda Guerra, Virgilio Mantilla Arango and myself were all threatened with reprisals and with being driven out of Havana.

State Security summoned, arrested and threatened my nephews Yudel and Yusbel Gonzalez Reyes with jail, in order to prohibit them from visiting me. On August 28, Yusbel is being forced into the Revolutionary Armed Forces since he is within the age limit according to the compulsory military service in Cuba. I thus make the Cuban government responsible if anything happens to Yusbel.

Arremete la seguridad del Estado contra
el Consejo de Relatores

La Seguridad del Estado está llevando a cabo una arremetida contra el Consejo de Relatores, la cual recrudeció a partir del viernes 14 de Agosto, 2009, cuando citó y arrestó a dos muchachas que trabajan como reporteras en el Centro de Información.

Doralis Álvarez Soto y Yudelmis Fonseca Rondón fueron sometidas a 4 horas de frías temperaturas, amenazas de cárcel, expulsión de la capital cubana y propuestas indecorosas como por ejemplo que colaboren con la tiranía militar, o si lo que quieren es irse del país que se metan a jineteras (prostitución con extranjeros). Doralis fue arrestada nuevamente el día 20 de agosto, permaneciendo sometida a un trato similar.

El propio viernes la inteligencia militar cubana cortó el servicio telefónico a nuestro centro de información, dejándolo interrumpido durante 5 días. Dos semanas antes destruyó nuestro e_mail: juanitocrdhc@yahoo.es.

Actualmente ha amenazado de represalias y expulsión de la Habana a Tania Maceda Guerra, Virgilio Mantilla Arango y a este servidor.

Del mismo modo citó, arrestó y amenazó de cárcel a mis sobrinos Yudel y Yusbel González Reyes a quienes pretende prohibirles que me visiten. A este último lo internarán por la fuerza este 28 de agosto en las Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias, pues está en edad de Servicio Obligatorio. Por eso responsabilizo al Gobierno Cubano de cualquier cosa que le ocurra.
